All panels and boards are treated prior to erection and the timber used on the posts is all Larch. All the posts are concreted into the ground. Next is close board fencing, with vertical 5” boards overlapping 1” at a time. These are normally erected on 4” wood posts or concrete posts, the boards sit on a 6” gravel board nailed onto 3 cant rails. Close board panels are becoming increasingly popular using either timber or concrete posts at 6’ intervals.
